 Katari lies to the North of Mirchaiiya-Siraha,between churai and Mahabharat range, which is circumferenced  by pure TAWA rivers, there is a small beautiful village. It is a small, beautiful and richest VDC in Udayapur. It lies in Sagarmatha zone and its headquarter is in Gaighat.

Katari is a semi-urban area. It is about one kilometer longer and 500m wider. It is almost in rectangular shape. Although it is small but it is rich and advanced VDC. Katari has got many facilities such as education, transportation, banking, drinking water facilities etc. Katari is oing to  be municipality. People of this place are very concerned about the development work and this is the reasons behind it thats ehy the katari is growing rapidly.
